Owners, Katrice & her daughter Jaimi, discovered soap making in 2018.  Before then, the idea of making their own soap never entered their minds.  With natural hair, they are always whipping up something for their hair but being able to tailor their own soap intrigued them.  After much research, they made their first batch of soap and was hooked.  

​After learning the difference between commercial soaps, which is basically detergent on the skin, and natural cold processed soap there was no turning back.  Natural soap has been a game changer for their family, especially for Jaimi & her older sister who has eczema throughout their whole life.  They loved it and wanted to share it with others.  

​In the process of trying to find the name most suitable for the business, the name Cherish U was suggested.  The name just resonated with them.  It takes on so many layers and it was a perfect fit for what they wanted their company and brand to stand for.  They believe the name itself serves as constant reminder to value and honor yourself.

​Katrice & Jaimi both believe that cherishing yourself is a responsibility and it is an act of stewardship to take care of what God has provided.  That includes taking care of yourself, your temple-your body, in all facets.  So that means how you honor yourself mentally, what you put in your body, as well as what you put on your body.  It is their ultimate goal to be a part of your journey to "Cherishing U" through their natural plant-based product line.
