5 Shower Tips for Healthy Glowing Skin

I’m sure you’re wondering “Why do I need tips on how to take a shower?” It is a quick and simple daily routine we all take part in. However, in this article you will learn some tips on how to make the best out of your shower experience and come out with clean and healthy glowing skin.

Tip #1

Take a cold shower - We all know the joke about women who love taking steamy hot showers. There’s nothing wrong with a hot shower every now and then. However, cold showers are amazing for glowing skin. It doesn’t strip your skin making you dry but calms irritated skin, increases circulation in your body and increases your alertness.

Tip #2

Use Natural Soap - Let’s all take a step away from the washing our bodies with detergent because the soap you pick in the store is exactly that! You’ll see an assortment of products labeled body bars, cleansers, deodorant soaps and they aren’t nothing but detergents. Natural handcrafted soap is actually soap! It’s made with natural ingredients with no synthetic or artificial materials. Washing with natural soap is moisturizing to the body and helps maintain the health of your skin.

Tip #3

Exfoliating is Key - We all want radiant, glowing skin. What better way to achieve this than exfoliating? Exfoliating ensures that the dead cells are completely removed, preventing dry dull skin which leads to breakouts and acne. It is also important to use a product best for your skin type so you would create micro tears on the surface of the skin. You can also use exfoliating tools like dry brushing right before you shower so you can wash off the dead skin.

Tip #4

Moisturizing - Have you ever tried to moisturize and ended up still having dry skin? One of the few biggest skincare mistakes we make when moisturizing is putting lotions and oils on dry skin. To get the most benefits out of your moisturizing routine, always put lotions, butter or oils on damp skin fresh out of your shower.

Tip#5

Keep Shower Short - This shower tip maybe hard to adjust to for some. Taking a shower can be quite the experience since we have a laundry list full of hygiene to take care of on top of our daily shower concerts. However, the longer you're in the shower, the more prone you are to having dry skin. And who wants dry skin? Definitely not me! A shower shouldn’t last any longer than 10 minutes. By cutting your shower short you're protecting your skin and keeping that water bill down too!
